SKATE X GOTHAM

The goal of this project was to design a card deck that showcases a typeface’s qualities through a specific theme. I chose Gotham as my typeface and skateboarding culture through the eras as my theme. While I’m not a skater anymore, I fell in love with the lifestyle as a young kid, particularly drawn to the art that emerges from its subculture. My vision was to highlight the irreverent and playful essence of skate culture through the contrast of Gotham’s bold, clean design.
